That is very interesting. I am sorry to say insecurity is insidious in some people, including myself. I hope you have better success making your friend see her worth. thanks for taking the time to visit and comment on my blog... like you... I sometimes get inspired by reading other people's blogs... or witnessing an event that is so fresh or different or sad or hurtful or happy or exhilarating... or I just think about the world around me... and want to write about it... but... I hesitate to just write... and... so... I try to find the lyrics that will help guide me with my thoughts... my analogies... my contrasts... the big picture... the focused thoughts... I agree with you about being insecure... I suppose we all are at some time or another... I remember when I was in high school... I gave myself a challenge... I decided to ask all of the beautiful girls out... I thought... what is the worst thing that could happen... all they could do is say no... but... a few said yes... OMG... that was a life changer for me... I'm glad that I made those attempts... because, now I don't have to... and, don't even think twice about it... We define ourselves... whatever that is... whatever weight we want to carry or not carry... how far we want to go... but, it does start within... we have to believe that it is ok to just be... I tell people all the time, that it is ok to make mistakes... nobody is perfect... nobody... even my heavenly creatures who reach out to me... even they are not perfect... but, they will do for me... hmm...
