Congrats there on a second beginning and thanks for the comment on my blog post earlier. Have had one such experience with an old flame from back in post High School days, we lost track of each other for the better part of 35 years, and I never knew where she ended up until one day she found me on FB and we began communicating again. She came up my way from FL just about this time last year and we hooked up again. It was great, but not as great as I'd hoped for and am still hoping for. We still talk weekly and text in between, but it's going slow, way too slow, I never did get over her before and it's even more difficult this time around and with about 1100 miles in between us.

I have only once gone back to a previous lover. We had NSA fun when we were both between affairs and many years later we did the same again. It was great but it was never going any further than that. Yours sounds so much different than mine was. I know you will enjoy it and there is no reason why it should not work out well. “For a moment, nothing happened. Then, after a second or so, nothing continued to happen.” ― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Much like this site Visit my Blog for my adventures.

Always great to hear of someone giving it a second go round with someone they automatically click with. I have seen two friends have better relationships the second time around. As you mentioned, they grew, matured and realized what they wanted out of life and of a partner. Wish you the best. Congratulations!

Once, years ago. a girl friend and I had ended it based on parental pressures. They wanted 'more' for their little girl. The encounter was incredibly passionate but lasted a few weeks. We accomplished a true closure and many of my later relationships have been guided by the lessons gained from that encounter. A bitter sweet lesson, but valuable. Every subsequent relationship has been better and stronger for it.

I divorced 34 years ago and only have to see her when grandkids have family B-day parties. I have noticed that her husband since me, NO longer lives with her! Looks to me like she never changed and still roaming the pastures! You are smart to go slow and deal with things one day at a time!

Best wishes for you! Yes there is one.

Hi Joy. thanks for sharing with me... It is fun reading your last few blogs... a breath of fresh air... a new beginning... with a familiar face... rehearsed fresh steps... memories of different days... a future full of promise... I like it... hmm... while others qualify... this one can be inserted anywhere... Emerson, Lake & Palmer - "From the Beginning" There might have been things I missed But don't be unkind It don't mean I'm blind Perhaps there's a thing or two I think of lying in bed I shouldn't have said But there it is You see, it's all clear You were meant to be here From the beginning Maybe I might have changed And not been so cruel Not been… To leave private messages, please use my confidential mailbox at my blog: Good luck!!!

Wow again! This is coming from a man that doesn't read a whole lot. I loved this so much and I can relate. My favorite line was "Taking the road less traveled at least tomorrow and the country road that leads to his home.." simply beautiful and is like a poem I wrote to the most love of my life. Way better than any of my blogs. I wish I could share. I really love your words. Troy. [post 4083053]
