So we don't use it a lot, but hear a lot of complaints. We have always wondered what everyone else's view of the state of IM's. Aside from the fact that 1/2 the peeps are not actually there , ( we are well aware of metrics and suspect they "hold" members online when they are actually signed out, or the just close a window and don't actually sign out (guilty) and may have to wait to be purged prior to actually being not shown online) but are wondering what others think about using im?
We message people ( sometime just out of curiosity, but never people that we may not be interested in) often, but only get responds 1 % of the time. 5 or 10 % of the time we see these couples view our profile but never even say hi. Now we have to say we almost never im couples who are not pretty well interested in the exact same thing as us down to ages, sexualities, ect ect. (call us picky) .We have a hard time believing they are serious if they don't at least want to say hi, and find out more about ourselves.
Now we have had many who have responded and we chat with occasionally, and for what-ever reason they have rejected us for x reason. We always appreciate that they have the time to at least let us know we are x and not desirable to them. Gotta luv that , now we have an understanding. But when you never respond, but visit our profile almost daily , well ???.
Just thought of it, what do others think of those who always visit your profile , but never want to even say hi? Now we know when we post pics/vids they are out there for all. We also have 1000's of viewers the odd nights we turn on the cam on.......hell we are nudists so being nekid gets us over 1000 views in a couple of hours of sitting around? If your so interested in the pics, why not at least say hi??? Perhaps we shouldn't restrict our contacts to local people? Maybe their worried about getting to close? Never fear we rarely try to contact local people who have a lot of out of town friends.
Last point..... everyone says im doesn't work, we feel like all chat platforms now-a-days they are victims of smart phones. 90% of people in rooms now have their phones in their pockets/purses or what-ever. No one is chained to their pc so they turn on their phone, they are signed into multiple programs and they pay attention to next to none. now chats are 5 mins between posts so if you request a chat wait for 5 to 30 mins to find out if they are actually even online. We feel it is somewhat rude, although we realize most people don't realize it.
Are we out to lunch, too old school , ???

We find it surprising that people will put in their profile "we have busy lives" and then go on and on that you should be ready to drop everything at the drop of a hat if they decide that they can squeeze you in. Like you think your the only s with a busy lifestyle, demanding occupation, or social life?
Perhaps they are since if we were to keep track the number of people that say, when we get a free moment we will give you a call. Then they never call/message. Hard to believe that you do not have days off, free time ever in your lives? How did you find the time to reply to numerous e-mails dodging our request to meet rather than e-mail tag and listen to you deribing yourselves. We can make a determination in 30 mins with personal meeting.
Now if your life is truly that busy, and you never take time for some personal time , why would you seek something that you have no time to pursue? Maybe you could better use what little free time you have to spend it with family or friends rather than e-mailing strangers looking for more friends that you have no time to socialize with.
